Mark is a 19-year veteran of the Norwich Fire Department. He is a currently a Lieutenant assigned to Engine 2 and second in command of the Norwich Fire Hazmat Operations. He holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of New Haven in Fire Science Administration and Arson Investigation and a Master of Public Administration from the University of New Haven. He is a credentialed fire officer from CPSE. Mark is a HazMat Manager/Safety Officer for MATF-1 a FEMA Urban Search Rescue team. He is also a alternate on US&R System Incident Support Team as a HazMat Specialist. He has deployed to numerous federal disasters as a hazmat Specialist/Manager/IST Member He is currently the Co-Chair of the Region 4 (Cerrit) Hazardous Materials response team. Mark is an Adjunct instructor at The Connecticut Fire Academy, The Massachusetts Fire Academy and the co-owner of All Hands Operating Training. Mark has instructed nationally and holds numerous Fire Service Certifications/Qualifications. Jeffrey entered the fire service in 1994 as a member of the Mystic Fire Department Hook & Ladder Company. After graduating from high school Jeffrey was employed as an environmental contractor serving power plants, pharmaceutical plants and chemical plants in the northeast. In 2000 Jeffrey was hired as a career firefighter with the Mohegan Tribal Fire Department. Shortly after joining the MTFD Jeffrey was hired into the Department of Defense Fire & Emergency Services Department serving at the Submarine Base in Groton CT. As part of his duties, he was trained as an NFPA hazmat technician, hazmat incident commander and designated a hazmat specialist. Rising through the ranks, Jeffrey has served the DoD as a firefighter, Captain and Assistant Chief (shift commander) as well as the Chief of HAZMAT Operations for Navy Region Mid-Atlantic Fire & Emergency Services, a department comprised of 10 districts, and over 500 response personnel. In addition to professional duties, Jeffrey serves as an instructor with the Connecticut FireAcademy in the recruit program and special operations (HAZMAT, technical rescue and marine firefighting) programs. Jeffrey can also be found at the Eastern Connecticut Fire School working in the Firefighter 1 program. Finally, Jeffrey is co-owner of All Hands Operating LLC which specializes in firefighting, technical rescue, hazmat and marine response.In his off-time Jeffrey enjoys the great outdoors and baseball. He can be found coaching youth baseball or competing in adult league baseball. Jeffrey also is an undergraduate student at Southern New Hampshire University graduating in December of 2022 with a bachelor’s in Psychology.
